Nowadays, most states and some countries have outlawed the use of cell phones while driving. So it is absolutely essential to buy a bluetooth headset or handsfree device. The fine for driving while using a cell phone can be substantial, ranging into the hundreds of dollars. Not to mention the fact that it is extremely dangerous to drive while using your cell phone. When you are talking to someone, it means that your attention is not fully focused on driving. Thousands of people have been killed from accidents where cell phones or texting was involved. This simply should not be. The entire phone weighs in at only 120 grams, making it very light and easy to carry in your pocket or purse.

The phone comes with 280MB of onboard memory which you can use to store your media files such as music and videos. The device also supports microSD cards up to 16GB allowing for even more freedom with storage space.

Speaking of media, the music playback features of the Elm are very extensive. It supports both MP3 and AAC files and is able to detect album art information as well. You can opt to play out the device through Bluetooth Stereo (A2DP). Sony’s PlayNow, SenseMe and TrackID support is also present in the device’s built-in media player. For those who really like their audio deep, there is the MegaBass feature.

Connectivity

The phone comes with its own internet browser -the Access NetFront browser is complete with all the basic surfing necessities. The device will let you keep bookmarks, subscribe to feeds and even has its own Google search query box at the home screen.

Of course, for anyone who really likes to stay connected with friends, there is the web-integrated application for Facebook. This will allow users to instantly check on status updates, profile changes and new messages without having to open the browser. The phone also has an integrated application for email. So if you need often need to check on your inbox, all it takes is a few taps of the keypad.

The standby screen on the phone can show widgets, allowing you to control the displayed information and will give you the convenience of having the exact data you need.

Coming Soon

So far, the Sony Ericsson Hazel has yet to be given an exact launch date. Though many suspect that it will arrive by Q2 2010; for those eager to get their hands on a Greenheart device with great multimedia features, the candy bar Elm is expected to arrive earlier

Rumours are beginning to circulate that we will see a new and improved iPhone 4G in June 2010. Initial release will be in America on the Verizon Wireless network and releasing across the UK and Europe soon after.

So what are the benefits of the new iPhone 4G and why should you consider an upgrade from your existing iPhone 3G or 3GS?

First of we can expect much faster downloading speeds and multi tasking capabilities (Hence the 4G, rather than 3G title). Also a faster dual core processor and better graphical capabilities. This will allow for more advanced apps and internet usage.

Also an impressive OLED screen (or for the tech heads amongst us an Organic Light Emitting Diode). Coupled with the increased graphic performance will allow for some really slick looking new games.

The new iChat camera will allow for video chat from the front of the phone made easier with a standard headphone jack.

Another major feature will be the increased memory up to 64GB so no more shifting files back and forth to your PC to free up room for your downloads.

Its still unclear as to the overall look and feel of the phone. We anticipate it will be smaller and thinner (that is the Apple way after all, look at the evolution of the iPod). Personally, we think this is great news as the iPhone is undeniably a great gadget but remains slightly too big for its purposes as a mobile phone handset. We anticipate the new iPhone 4G will be their best mobile handset yet. More new to come as soon as we hear it.
